Hillary and Rob dated for 10 year and were engaged for 6 years out of those 10. They told me that everyone in their family just expected them to elope and not have a traditional wedding. And this is exactly what they decided to do on their 10th dating anniversary. We met each other on a beautiful cloudy Thursday in Philadelphia and recorded their special day. Hillary wore the cutest knee-length white lacy dress from Anthropologie and Rob matched her flawlessly wearing his most stylish groom’s suit and tie from Original Penguin. Their shoes matched!!!! Cole Haan and Rag and Bone should totally collaborate on their styling! It was so super cool to see how feminine and masculine features in their shoes complimented each other and blended together. They specifically requested the photo of their shoes, which we got and I love it! And Hillary’s flower bouquet was created by Robertson’s Flowers. Each flower was impeccable.
Hillary and Rob didn’t have to go to the court because they chose to go with the self-uniting license that from what I was told is a left-over piece of Quakers’ history in Pennsylvania. 3 of their best friends joined them as witnesses (and can I say that all of them were super stylish too? 🙂 ). Philadelphia Murals Wedding Photos
We met at 5425 Market St, Philadelphia, PA, 19139 which was a location that Hillary and Rob specifically requested for their photos. There was the most lovely mural that said ‘What’s mine is yours’. Such a perfect background for the moment when you are joining your lives.
After we grabbed a few photos there we walked for a few blocks to 16 N 51st St, Philadelphia, PA 19139 for another mural that was as cute and meaningful as the first one. Check them out below.
And this is a specific thing that Hillary and Rob always do and this uniquely shows off their relationship. I love it when I get to photograph the moments that belong only to this and only thing couple <3!
And here I got a little creative and fun with their photos :P.
And here is the mural that they also really wanted to have in their elopement pictures – ‘Hold Tight’ mural definitely is a great one for a day like this!
And once we got the photos that these bride and groom wanted we headed out to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the official part with their friends and witnesses.
Philadelphia Museum of Art Wedding Photos
We got a few photos while we were waiting for Hillary and Rob’s friends to arrive and then the papers were pulled out the official part began!!!
Haha, Joe thought he forgot the documents for signing!!! That was his initial reaction inside and then he shared it with us :D.
And here they were married!!!
Hillary and Rob’s formal photos were definitely fun. As you can see, there was a lot going on.
And once the formal photos were done, we had a few more moments for their wedding photos. Philadelphia Museum of Art is definitely the most gorgeous backdrop for the any kinds of photos. We absolutely enjoyed every gorgeous location around it. Hillary and Rob’s lovely relationship helped out with the photos too!

And yes, Hillary is significantly shorter than Rob, so those little pedestals at Museum of Art were totally handy for kissing pictures 🙂
Rob’s ring was designed and made by Brentwood Rings – totally unique and gorgeous!
And once it got dark we grabbed a few night time photos with off-camera flash – so moody and gorgeous!
And downtime Philadelphia skyline is never boring to photograph. Those skyscrapers and Philly City Hall will always be appreciated in the wedding photos.
If you can see tiny droplets of water in the last photo, then – yes, it started raining just as we were setting up the last photo. Perfect timing and a perfect 10 year anniversary of dating and a wedding day. Congratulations you guys one more time and thank you so much for having me!
