Last week was pretty special! Not only my beautiful sister-in-law got married but I also got to be a part of every moment of their day and photograph it too! I can’t typed up here all the happy emotions that were going through my body but I will just share very superficial observations :). Kara has an amazing taste and talent put color together. Once you see the photos of the details you will see such a large variety in color pallet and you will be amazed (just like I was) how GOOD everything looks together! Their vintage colorful wedding took place at a small venue Turtle Doves in Gretna, NE and it was simply a perfect spot for Kara and Don’s wedding! For their first look, bridal party and bride and groom photos we went to bicycle trail that they regularly ride on and I thought it was a PERFECT spot not only from a photography perspective but also how meaningful and applicable it was for their lives! The ceremony was beautiful and all 28 of the closest people for them were there to cheer Don and Kara on once they were announced as husband and wife! The ceremony decor was all made by Kara and inspired by Don’s love to plants and growing things! Now their garden will be even fuller as they will be able to plan those pretty plants at their home. A wonderful reception with the most beautiful vintage decor followed soon after. The food was delicious; the speeches were hilarious; I got the LARGEST piece of cake ever and everyone had the loveliest time possible! What an honor it was to be there! I couldn’t not share this photo! This one is too hilarious! As Kara and Don were taking a moment to themselves, I was creeping on them from one side and my son was doing the same thing from a different direction! He was doing it obviously with less purpose but still he eventually disturbed their moment. Sorry guys!
