Kimberly and Nick are the most hard working and determined people I have probably met. They works 4 jobs between them and are pursuing a college degree (well, Kimberly is the one who is a student), planning their wedding and building their relationship. And not only they have the best work ethic they are also extremely down-to-earth and super easy to work with. I would ask them to sit on the wet ground…no problem! Climbs a tree…sure! Jump, run and pet a stray dog…. they did it all!!!! So after seeing what kind of people they are, I am so sure in there marriage success because I think selflessness and being easy-going is super important for any good long-lasting relationship! And I am 100% sure their wedding at Brigalias will become a memorable, meaningful celebration of their lives together! As for their engagement session, it was a dreary and slightly rainy evening…but only until I met Kimberly and Nick! These two people are full of life, energy and happiness! We were able to create these fun photos for Kimberly and Nick. We met at a local Lumberton park and a beautiful green background complimented these love birds really well! Kimberly wore an adorable teal knee-length chiffon dress and high heeled shoes. Nick decided to go with a simpler less noticeable outfit of jeans and a blue collared shirt. I found it to be a perfect combination for an engagement session outfit because Kimberly was the one who stood out so beautifully and Nick complimented his lady so well! And as you can see for some photos I was only using natural light and for some I was even able to use off camera flash because the weather was so dreary that it was dark enough to get my camera setting to the right point. I love this kind of situation because it gives my couples a nice variety in their photos and depending on how they want to use them, they can go with either beautiful soft natural light or with a more contrasty photo with flash.
And then Kimberly and Nick changed into blue jeans and gray t-shirts :). And their sneakers matched!!! What they said is that it’s more them – relaxed, chill, active and ready for adventure :). My kind of people!
Kimberly mentioned that her sneakers were dirtier than Nicks…..but who seems it anyways when everyone is looking at this gorgeous engagement ring of hers ?! 🙂
And here is a stray dog….well, it wasn’t stray. The owners were there but really really far away so the dog just hung out with us for a while and really wanted to be in their engagement pictures.
And how gorgeous is this rose gold ring with lots of diamonds?!
