As a wedding photographer, I have been privileged to capture countless couples’ special days in various venues and settings. However, there is something uniquely intimate and special about backyard weddings. It was the case for Marissa and Chris’s wedding too! Last September I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful backyard wedding in Lambertville, NJ, and I can truly say it was a memorable and picturesque event!
From the moment I arrived at the bride’s family home, I was struck by the beauty and charm of the setting. The lush greenery and blooming flowers provided a stunning backdrop for the day’s festivities (all of the landscaping gorgeousness was created by Marrissa’s parents by the way!!!).
One of the things that stood out to me about this backyard wedding was the couple’s attention to detail. They had carefully selected every element of the day to create a cohesive and personalized theme. From the wedding attire to ceremony and reception space, everything was so sleek and elegant!
The ceremony was beautiful and my favorite part was Marissa and Chris’s pup walking down the aisle! SOOO cute!!! The cocktail hour was in the garden with the most stunning sunset views!
As the sun began to set, the backyard transformed into a magical wonderland. The twinkle lights and lanterns that had been carefully placed throughout the garden created a warm and cozy atmosphere. It was even more charming under the tent with fun lanterns decorating all of the ceiling! The newlyweds shared their first dance in the tent where all the guests were seated. The night continued with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and dancing under the stars.
