Amanda and Ben originally dreamed about having their engagement session in Germany. Ben is a German teacher. Every year he goes to Germany to visit a family he stayed with during his student exchange program. They kept in contact since and get to see each other yearly. I can only imagine what beautiful backdrops they could have had in Germany! When they decided they decided to have their engagement session here in NJ, it was a little bit of a challenge to find something as beautiful as it could have been in Germany. Amanda and Ben wanted lots of flowers and garden feel for their engagement photos so we landed in Sayen House and Gardens :). The landscape was BEAUTIFUL there; however, sadly to us, it looked like we made it there just in between the seasons where most of the flowers were not blooming. I hope Amanda and Ben were not too sad but as for me, I love people in front of my camera and the background is a secondary item on my list. And let me tell you, I felt really treated by Amanda and Ben’s joyful personalities and how sweet they were together!!! hi, did you need a permit for this shoot?
I am pretty sure you don’t need a permit for smaller sessions, and I THINK we didn’t have one on that day. I don’t fully remember though. But for weddings you definitely need one!
