The wedding season was beautiful and busy. Sometimes when I get busy with work some personal things (especially leisure!) doesn’t happen as often as I would like. These few months I didn’t get a chance to pick up a camera to record my own life and family and recently I felt a nudge that this should change. Well, here you go! It’s changing! I am starting a new series on the blog called “On a personal note”. Some personal stories and events will be shared here through photos and words. Hopefully it ends being fun and helpful series that everyone interested can relate, commiserate and be encouraged depending on what is happening.
Today’s story is about my aunt Lilya’s birthday. She is a person I admire very much and being able to go and visit her is always a treat. Not only I got to see my aunt, I also spent time with my grandma and my cousin’s family. Family time is precious to me. We talked about changing careers and jobs, energetic kids, biblical wisdom and how well my aunt cooks :D. And yes, the brunch was SO yummy! Kids, on the other hand, had less conversations but their time was as quality and as memorable as ours haha. Tag, jumping on the bed, car racing, pillow fights (which they got yelled at for) and obviously screaming while doing all of the above.
It was so wonderful to see everyone, eat delicious food, watch (and hear….) kids play and record a few memories. Happy birthday Lilya!
P.S. It’s interesting to me that delegating has been on my mind for a while now. The thought that I can only do so much by myself is not new. And now, asking my beautiful cousin Yulia to take a few photos of me was so much easier than setting up a tripod! We did set up a tripod for that one full family photo but all other photos where you see my face, Yulia took them :). Delegating/asking for help might just be my new favorite thing! Are you delegating much? Is it hard for you to do?
